Portable Condition Monitoring System
The P100 series is a range of portable devices that give you a snap shot assessment of the health of your hard-to-access equipment including mechanical, electrical, and operational aspects using a Model-Based Voltage and Current (MBVI) technique.
What is condition based maintenance (CBM)?
Condition monitoring is the process of continuously measuring and analysing machine performance to detect faults early, reduce downtime, and extend equipment life as part of predictive maintenance.
What our condition monitoring system does?
Our condition monitoring software provides continuous, non-invasive analysis of your electric motors and machinery. This includes powerful motor condition monitoring capabilities that help you move beyond traditional maintenance to a fully predictive strategy.
Identifies and detects potential faults AND the cause of the problem
Tracks the rate at which the issue is increasing
Provides an estimated rate of deterioration
This means you can carry on using the machine while you schedule the maintenance work for a convenient time, reducing downtime and reducing cost to the business. Utilising Condition Based Monitoring with the P100 system enables you to know what is wrong, what you need to do about it and importantly, when it needs to be done.
The systems can identify a wide range of faults
- Mechanical unbalance/misalignment
- Bearing problems
- Foundation looseness
- Transmission looseness or rubbing
- Motor rotor bar breaks
- Motor stator problems
- Electrical odd and even harmonic abnormalities
- Any other spectrum peak beyond normal expected values
The electrical parameters are measured
- Active power, reactive power, and power factor
- Voltage balance & Current balance
- Voltage THD & Current THD (Total Harmonic Distortion)
- Additional machine-specific information if available
Monitor energy consumption and identify waste
The systems measure energy consumption and identify energy-wasting parameters, allowing users to take cost-justified actions to reduce energy consumption.
Available Outputs
The P100 series Equipment Health Assessment kit provides a wide range of outputs, ranging from basic electrical parameters to advice on corrective action on any faults found. Examples include:
Overview of condition and automatic provision of information on faults detected
Automatic identification of rotor bar condition and provision of supporting information
Automated advice depending on fault
Automatic identification of spectral
Easy, convenient monitoring of the health of your pumps, fans and motors
Simple Installation: the only connections required to operate the P100 system are current clamps to measure the current and dolphin connectors to measure the voltage. All connections and testing are done in the switch room and are taken from the low voltage and low current signals feeding the protection system. There is no need to disconnect or disturb any existing connections.
The P100 Series: How can it help you?
- Avoid unnecessary maintenance work
- Avoid unexpected breakdowns by spotting developing problems before they become critical
- Minimize energy wastage and quantify the benefits using the energy wastage figures
- Create a baseline profile of new equipment at a factory
- Perform acceptance and commissioning testing on equipment to confirm no damage has occurred during delivery and installation
- Monitor the condition of otherwise inaccessible equipment, such as submerged pumps, borehole pumps, in-tank pumps, cryogenic pumps, roof mounted fans, etc.
